Everything legal about Crash in one place, in plain words. The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy are the full rules; this page sums them up and points to the part you need.
The binding version is Terms section 4.
Before signing, consider having a qualified professional review your agreement so you understand your rights, responsibilities, and whether the terms reflect what both parties agreed to. Crash provides general educational information, not legal advice or contract approval. This checklist is not exhaustive, and completing it does not establish that an agreement is valid, enforceable, or suitable for your situation.
The same list sits at the agreement step of every match.
Each one means only the exact thing it says, at the time it was checked. None is a promise about a person, a place or a deal, and we do not run background, credit or income checks.
Documents sent for a check are seen only by the person who sent them and the two Crash reviewers, and are deleted when the review is decided. Crash is not affiliated with the University of Miami.
Equal housing opportunity. Housing discrimination is illegal under federal, Florida and Miami-Dade law. A listing may describe who lives in a shared place now, never who may apply. We remove listings and messages that discriminate; report one on Crash, and you can also contact HUD. Details in Terms section 6.
If something on Crash uses your work, or someone listed a place you own or manage without your permission, email hello@crashmia.com. We take a listing down while we look into it. What a copyright notice needs is in Terms section 10.
We do not sell your data or show ads. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, or delete your account at any time; here is how. Activity emails can be turned off on your profile.
